i’m hamnah, founder of jam's cat cafe, and we can't wait to become the first muslim-owned cat cafe in the UK! 

how exciting is that?!

well, here’s our story!

this cat cafe idea actually began in turkey in june 2024, where my husband and i went for our honeymoon. the perfect place for two people who love cats!

we saw how caring and loving the locals were to every animal, especially cats! they had special shelters for them in parks, water bowls at every shop, and anyone who saw the cats or got to give them a little stroke always left smiling.

it brought us so much peace to be in that environment, and i kept thinking, 

“i wish i could bring this feeling all the way home.”

so, that’s where it started!

i told my husband, and he loved the idea. 

from there, it gained more support. our friends and families loved the idea, and it filled us both with so much joy that we couldn’t wait to get started.

but with everything happening around the globe—multiple genocides, climate change, and the cost of living crisis—we decided we wanted our cat cafe to be a lot more than just a place to love cats.

that’s where our ethos came from! 

we wanted to stand out but also show others that being ethical, sustainable, and affordable is possible, even when it looks like it isn't.

i have lived in luton my entire life where i had endless opportunities. 

from luton 2040 conferences,  youth climate conferences and consultations.

but now, i want to give back to my community and create an independent space that aligns with what i think is right.

and yes, our cat cafe still needs so much more time, but we want to take you on this journey with us.

we cannot make this as impactful as we want without your support.

we want this to be your most memorable cat cafe experience, and we’re ready to listen!
